A few years ago, Grant gathered his courage and slid into Mariah’s Instagram DMs, initiating what would become the beginning of their forever. Naturally, Mariah did what any sensible woman would do: she called up her friends and asked, “Who is this guy, and what’s he about?” With glowing reviews of Grant's character from her circle, Mariah decided to take a chance, and the rest is history—a modern love story, truly swoon-worthy.
Fast forward to today, as their wedding photographer, I’ve fallen just as hard for their story as they have for each other. When I encourage my couples—especially my brides—to create Pinterest boards that reflect their engagement session vision, Mariah absolutely delivered. Her board was an enchanting mix of downtown date-night vibes: intimate flash photos in swanky spaces and even an elevator, paired with golden hour moments in nature. I knew we had to go all out to emulate this dreamy vision!
We began their session near Nina's Cafe and the Cathedral in St. Paul, where Grant and Mariah showcased their timeless, chic love. We wrapped up the day at Richardson Nature Preserve, bathed in the glow of a perfect sunset. I’m incredibly proud of the gallery we created, capturing the essence of their vision.
